Berlin, Germany’s capital, dates to the 13th century. Reminders of the city's turbulent 20th-century history include its Holocaust memorial and the Berlin Wall's graffitied remains. Divided during the Cold War, its 18th-century Brandenburg Gate has become a symbol of reunification. The city's also known for its art scene and modern landmarks like the gold-colored, swoop-roofed Berliner Philharmonie, built in 1963.

The double-decker, hop on-hop off Berlin Tourist Bus offers three ways to explore the German capital and discover its many sights and attractions while learning about its dramatic past. Take the Classic Tour or the Wall and Lifestyle Tour, or a tour that combines both. The Classic Tour (red route) features all of the major sights in Berlin such as the Brandenburg Gate, the famous KaDeWe department store, the former Checkpoint Charlie and the iconic TV Tower. This tour takes about two hours. You also have the opportunity to explore the heart of the city on your own initiative. The Wall and Lifestyle Tour (green route) focuses on the notorious Berlin Wall, which during its 28-year existence became the ultimate symbol of communist oppression. Visit the Berlin Wall Memorial, investigate an original WWII bunker, discover Prenzlauer Berg with its countless restaurants, cafés and galleries or see the East Side Gallery, the longest preserved part of the Berlin Wall, which features murals and graffiti by more than 100 artists. This tour takes about two hours. Alternatively, you can do a tour that combines both routes – and thus see all of Berlin! See the Reichstag, the Federal Chancellery, Bellevue Palace, Alexanderplatz, Potsdamer Platz.

Hamburg, a major port city in northern Germany, is connected to the North Sea by the Elbe River. It's crossed by hundreds of canals, and also contains large areas of parkland. Near its core, Inner Alster lake is dotted with boats and surrounded by cafes. The city's central Jungfernstieg boulevard connects the Neustadt (new town) with the Altstadt (old town), home to landmarks like 18th-century St. Michael’s Church.

From a fort on a hill to one of the world’s most important ports, Hamburg is a city full of stories. On this stroll through Hamburg’s historic old town you’ll take in the stunning 19th Century neo-renaissance Town Hall, with more than 600 rooms, built at the peak of Hamburg’s fortune.
As we delve deeper into the history of the Free City we will visit the charming historic Deichstrasse, and learn how the Great Fire ravaged the old town, inadvertently making way for Hamburg’s era-defining red brick ‘Kontor House’ buildings. Taking a hard look at the darkest days of German history, we will have a chance to explore the former St. Nikolai Church, once one of the finest examples of neo-gothic architecture in Europe, the tower now stands as a memorial for the tens of thousands of victims of the allied air raids of World War Two.
Your tour will finish in the Speicherstadt, not only the most beautiful corner of town, but Hamburg’s first UNESCO World Heritage site! Here you will see the gorgeous warehouses that used to store anything and everything shipped down the river Elbe before it made its way to the rest of the world. The former warehouses now make up one of the trendiest districts in the country, let alone Hamburg! The jewel in the crown is, of course, Hamburg’s shining new concert hall, the Elbphilharmonie, which you can visit for free after the tour
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and make your way to the train station. Board the 2nd class train from Hamburg to Dusseldorf. On arrival in Dusseldorf station make your way to the hotel and check-in.

Düsseldorf is a city in western Germany known for its fashion industry and art scene. It's divided by the Rhine River, with its Altstadt (Old Town) on the east bank and modern commercial areas to the west. In the Altstadt, St. Lambertus Church and Schlossturm (Castle Tower) both date to the 13th century. Streets such as Königsallee and Schadowstrasse are lined with boutique shops.

Breakfast at the hotel. See the Dusseldorf skyline from the River Rhine aboard a one hour Dusseldorf Panoramic Cruise and don’t miss out on the best views over the city! See the Media Harbor and the exhibition halls that draw crowds from all over the world and you’re sure to be swept off your feet by the modern charm of Dusseldorf. You’ll see the city from a different angle and you’ll get an insight into its history.

Frankfurt, a central German city on the river Main, is a major financial hub that's home to the European Central Bank. It's the birthplace of famed writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, whose former home is now the Goethe House Museum. Like much of the city, it was damaged during World War II and later rebuilt. The reconstructed Altstadt (Old Town) is the site of Römerberg, a square that hosts an annual Christmas market.

Munich, Bavaria’s capital, is home to centuries-old buildings and numerous museums. The city is known for its annual Oktoberfest celebration and its beer halls, including the famed Hofbräuhaus, founded in 1589. In the Altstadt (Old Town), central Marienplatz square contains landmarks such as Neo-Gothic Neues Rathaus (town hall), with a popular glockenspiel show that chimes and reenacts stories from the 16th century.
