Macau is an autonomous region on the south coast of China, across the Pearl River Delta from Hong Kong. A Portuguese territory until 1999, it reflects a mix of cultural influences. Its giant casinos and malls on the Cotai Strip, which joins the islands of Taipa and Coloane, have earned it the nickname, "Las Vegas of Asia." One of its more striking landmarks is the tall Macau Tower, with sweeping city views.

The day will not be complete if you will not experience The Venetian Gondola Ride
The Venetian Macao is the largest casino in the world and the largest single structure hotel building in Asia. Inside the building you will find plenty of shops and canals, where gondoliers serenade couples with romantic gondola rides. Sit back and relax as you embark on a 15-20 minute gondola ride through one of the canals in the heart of The Venetian Macao. The gondola is a traditional, flat-bottomed Venetian rowing boat. It is similar to a canoe, except it is narrower. For centuries, the gondola was the chief means of transportation and most common watercraft within Venice. In modern times, the iconic boats still do have a role in public transport in the city, serving as traghetti (Ferries) over the Grand Canal.
