Kochi (also known as Cochin) is a city in southwest India's coastal Kerala state. It has been a port since 1341, when a flood carved out its harbor and opened it to Arab, Chinese and European merchants. Sites reflecting those influences include Fort Kochi, a settlement with tiled colonial bungalows and diverse houses of worship. Cantilevered Chinese fishing nets, typical of Kochi, have been in use for centuries.

Prepare for check out and the driver will pick you up and enjoy a city tour covering Mattancherry Palace- gifted to the king of Cochin, by Portuguese in 1555, about 500 years old & drive past Chinese Fishing Nets. Later drive to Munnar, the hills situated at an altitude of 5000 to 8000 Ft above sea level and are situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathani & Kundala.  This beautiful hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Govt. in South India. Sprawling Tea plantations, picture book towns, winding lanes and holiday facilities make this a popular resort town.

On arrival in Munnar the driver will drop you to the hotel and check in.

Munnar is a town in the Western Ghats mountain range in India’s Kerala state. A hill station and former resort for the British Raj elite, it's surrounded by rolling hills dotted with tea plantations established in the late 19th century. Eravikulam National Park, a habitat for the endangered mountain goat Nilgiri tahr, is home to the Lakkam Waterfalls, hiking trails and 2,695m-tall Anamudi Peak.

Today morning, enjoy a visit to the Tea Museum in the Nallathanni Estate of Tata Tea, which showcases some of the exquisite and interesting aspects of the genesis and growth of tea plantations in Munnar. This Tea Museum houses curios, photographs and machinery. Also visit Mattupetty, located about 13 km from Munnar. Mattupetty is known for its dam and the beautiful lake, which offers pleasurable boat rides (on direct payment). Later visit the Kundala tea plantations and the Kundala Lake, the mountain slopes here are thick with undulating, evergreen tea plantations. The shimmering blue lake is the most photographed part of Kundala. Take a stroll in the tea estate, and enjoy the refreshing mountain breeze. Here you can view the entire process of making tea, right from plucking of tealeaves to their processing.

Thekkady is synonymous to uninterrupted hills, rich biodiversity and spice plantations. The place is best known for the Periyar National Park. In the afternoon, visit spice plantation. The aroma and pleasant ambience of the spice and tea plantations of Periyar are fascinating. Spices found in Thekkady include pepper, clove, cardamom, nutmeg, ginger, turmeric, vanilla and curry leaves.

Kumarakom is a charming emerald peninsula jutting into the picturesque Vembanad Lake dotted with innumerable traditional country rafts, boats and canoes. The fresh water of the lake flows into the mainland, making a labyrinth of lagoons, canals and waterways. Spend the rest of the day at the beautiful resort of Kumarakom. You may enjoy traditional Ayurveda massages here -Ayurveda is the ancient healing system of India and has been practiced continuously for over 5,000 years (on direct payment basis). The various treatments are individually prescribed and involve the use of medicated herbal oils, herbs, powders and poultices & natural ingredients.

Today experience the most beautiful back water river cruise in Kumarakom Lake. Kumarakom was within the jurisdiction of the king of Thekkumkur while that kingdom existed, and it was usual to have fighting and competitions among local kings. Small boats called chundan vallam and veppu vallam were widely used among the local kings for their lightning attacks and fighting in central Travancore. During those days Vembanad Lake was a dangerous area; therefore the king of Thekkumcore kept soldiers in Kumarakom and constructed a fort at the entrance of Kottathodu in Kumarakom. Soldiers were kept in certain areas of Kumarakom for protection against enemy attacks; some of those places still have "pada" (meaning war) in their names, such as Padakkalam and Padanilam. The remains of the fort's wall, six feet broad, can still be seen near the village office of Kumarakom. Kumarakom is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is a noted bird sanctuary where many species of migratory birds visit. The Vembanad Lake, the largest backwater in Kerala, is habitat for many marine and freshwater fish species and it teems with Karimeen (Pearl spot also known as Etroplus suratensis) shrimp (Metapenaeus dobsonii) common name Poovalan chemeen. The bird sanctuary extends over 14 acres (57,000 m²), and came into existence following preservation efforts from the government. It is a major tourist attraction.

Kovalam is a small coastal town in the southern Indian state of Kerala, south of Thiruvananthapuram. At the southern end of Lighthouse Beach is a striped lighthouse with a viewing platform. Heading south, Vizhinjam Juma Masjid mosque overlooks the busy fishing harbor. Inland, Sagarika Marine Research Aquarium displays technology used in pearl production. , it is internationally famed for its palm-fringed beaches and rejuvenating centres. This coastal town initially came to notice with the construction of Halcyon Castle by the last Maharani of Travancore - Sethu Lakshmi Bayi. With the arrival of hippies in 1970s, the place gained recognition as a tourist destination and is today renowned for its 17 km-long coastlines, which is formed by three beautiful beaches - Lighthouse, Hawah and Samudra.

A perfect blend of beach and city, today explore the beautiful lighthouse in Kovalam. Vizhinjam Lighthouse is situated near Kovalam beach in Kerala. It started functioning on 30 June 1972. Vizhinjam was a busy seaport in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Before the current light was installed, there were no lighthouses at this location. A day mark beacon must have been there in 18th century. Then visit Vellayani Lake or Vellayani Kayal as known in local language, is the largest fresh water lake in Trivandrum, and Valiyathura Pier. Later proceed to Trivandrum and visit Napier Museum and Art Gallery. The Napier Museum is an art and natural history museum situated in Thiruvananthapuram, India. The architecture of the museum is a mix of Indian, Chinese, Kerala, and Mughal styles. The Museum grounds also hold the famous Trivandrum Zoo, which is one of the oldest zoological gardens in India. After the tour return back to Kovalam.

Thiruvananthapuram (or Trivandrum) is the capital of the southern Indian state of Kerala. It's distinguished by its British colonial architecture and many art galleries. It’s also home to Kuthira Malika (or Puthen Malika) Palace, adorned with carved horses and displaying collections related to the Travancore royal family, whose regional capital was here from the 18th–20th centuries. Vellayani Lake, or Vellayani Kayal as known in the local language, is the largest freshwater lake in Thiruvananthapuram district, of Kerala, India
