Besides the strict centre, it also covers the immediate northern outskirts where it borders municipalities in Flanders. Get to know the city in record-time with two fantastic routes taking in all that historic Brussels has to offer, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to exploring this fascinating city. Both the ‘Atomium’ and ‘Europe’ routes take 75 minutes and both conveniently leave from the central station, though you can hop on and off at will. ‘Atomium’ is named after the attraction of the same name, a zany mid-century structure in the shape of an atom originally constructed for the 1958 Brussels World's Fair. This tour also passes through Arenberg and Rogier, calling at the historic greenhouses of the Royal Serres as well as the huge Roman Catholic National Basilica of the Sacred Heart, offering some of the most beautiful views of the city. At Dansaert Street you can enjoy pubs and cafes, before viewing the Brussels Bourse stock exchange and the iconic Manneken Pis fountain.
The ‘Europe’ routes first heads to the historic Place Royale Square and Sablon Hill, with plenty of beautiful Art Nouveau buildings to catch your eye. See the former Cistercian Abbaye de la Cambre, Flagey Square and leafy Parc Leopold where locals go to picnic and stroll among the old trees. The huge Cinquantenaire park and the Royal Palace of Brussels are also included.

Breakfast at the hotel. Prepare for check out and make your way to the train station for your scenic train journey to Antwerp. On arrival to Antwerp make your way to your hotel and check-in.

Antwerp is a port city on Belgium’s River Scheldt, with a history dating to the Middle Ages. In its centre, the centuries-old Diamond District houses thousands of diamond traders, cutters and polishers. Antwerp’s Flemish Renaissance architecture is typified by the Grote Market, a central square in the old town. At the 17th-century Rubens House, period rooms display works by the Flemish Baroque painter Peter Paul Rubens.

After breakfast. Discover the vibrant old town with its medieval fortress and butchers’ hall near the riverfront. Antwerp, a jewel of a city! 1 Hour Antwerp Citytour Hop On Hop Off. From the central station, diamond district, zoo, Chinatown, Equatoria, central park, war memorial, botanical garden, opera, shopping district, Rubens house, old city with a cathedral, fashion district with fashion museum, tropical institute, river monument, fine arts museum, Art deco houses, Lambermont square, the palace of justice, watergate, museum of contemporary arts and museum of photography, river Scheldt. Pedestrian tunnel under the river, antique district and market, market square, city hall, brabofoutain and castle, river cruises, meathall, redlight district, old harbour, MAS museum, RED STAR LINE museum, and back to central station by the Rooseveldt square.

After breakfast. The day is free until checkout time. Make your way to the train station, board the train from Antwerp to Brussels central station and connect to the airport for your onward flight.
