On arrival at Tromso International Airport you will be met by our local representative and you will be transferred to the hotel.
Day is free, to explore the charming city of the "capital of Northern Norway" at your own pace.
Tromsø is known as the Gateway to the Arctic, with the most Northern Lights in the world! It’s located in the middle of the Aurora Borealis (northern lights) zone, and is in fact one of the best places in the world to observe this phenomenon.
In the evening it’s time to leave the city lights behind on a guided tour for a chance to enjoy some of the brightest northern lights in the world. An aurora, sometimes referred to as polar lights, northern lights, or southern lights, is a natural light display in the Earth's sky, predominantly seen in high-latitude regions. Auroras are the result of disturbances in the magnetosphere caused by solar wind. Please note that the northern lights are a natural phenomenon and sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Morning is free, to explore more of the natural beauty in Tromsø, including the Polar Museum, Arctic Cathedral and the Fjellheisen cable car.
In the late afternoon you will be taken to the wilderness centre, Camp Tamok. There you will join a thrilling dog sledding tour into the white landscapes, through an uninhabited forest landscape surrounded by majestic mountains. After the tour you will have another opportunity to look for northern lights while enjoying dinner in a lavvu, a traditional Sami tent, at Camp Tamok, before being transferred back to your hotel.

Northern Lights Cruise
Would you like to experience the northern lights in a different way? Make sure to book this cruise on a comfortable catamaran sailing from Tromsø. You’ll board the Arctic Princess catamaran to go hunting for the majestic aurora borealis. If all the conditions align, you will be able to experience the lights on the outdoor daybed or lounge terrace, or inside in the panorama saloon. Refreshments to warm you up will be served on board. As you sail back to Tromsø, a warm fish soup will be served to end your journey on a delicious note.

Reindeer Sledding
If you want a family-friendly adventure where you can learn about Sami culture and go reindeer sledding, don’t miss out on this excursion! You will first take a 75-min bus to Camp Tamok from where your adventure will begin. Here you’ll be provided with warm clothes before meeting the reindeer herd. You will be driving in pairs with one reindeer pulling each sleigh. All you need to do is make yourself comfortable, sit back and enjoy the magical scenery. After the sledding, you’ll warm up over a bonfire in the cosy lavvo (Sami tent), where you will learn more about Sami people, their culture and history. Later you’ll also be able to feed the reindeer and try the lasso-throwing method that Sami people use to catch reindeer when they are rounded up for marking. The adventure ends with a hot meal in the dining lavvu, before returning to Tromsø.

On arrival in Kirkenes, make your way to the hotel and check in.
Kirkenes, located about 400 km (240 miles) above the Arctic Circle in northern Norway. With just over 3,000 inhabitants, including the native Sami people, this is remote, scenic slice of Norway. Surrounded by fjords, mountains, forests and lakes, this area is a heaven for nature lovers, especially wintersport enthusiasts.

Dog Sledding & Northern Lights
Tonight, you’ll take part in a northern light ‘hunt’ with huskies. There will be two people per sled, driven by the experience dog musher, who will take you along the arctic fjords and tundra. Not only will it be a great opportunity to see the lights, but you’ll also get to sightsee, and experience being pulled by dog sled! Lean back, relax and keep an eye out for the dancing auroras that light up the sky!

Snowmobiling & Northern Lights
Experience the great outdoors of northern Norway with a northern light excursion by snowmobile. Tonight, join in a northern light ‘hunt’ by snowmobile. You’ll be accompanied by an expert guide and driver as you ride along the frozen tundra of the arctic wilderness, passing by the Sandnes mountain plateau. If you’re interested, you may also take your chance to drive a snowmobile! Not only is it a great opportunity to sightsee and try skidoo, but make sure to keep an eye out for the dancing auroras that light up the sky!

Enjoy the morning @ leisure by exploring Kirkenes at your own pace. See the Border Country Museum (Grenselandsmuseet), which tells the story of war and peace along the border, or the Andersgrotta Cave, a vast underground bunker that sheltered the town's residents during WWII.
In the afternoon, it's time to check in to the one-and-only Snow Hotel. There you will enjoy a drink at the Snow Bar and feast on a 3-course meal by the fireplace at the Høyloftet Restaurant before preparing for an amazing night in your special suite made of snow and ice.

Spend the morning warming up in the Snow Hotel’s sauna. Visit the hotel‘s on-site friendly reindeers and meet some happy Huskies before travelling back to Kirkenes.

King Crab Safari
Join experienced fishermen along the fjord near Kirkenes to catch, prepare and eat one of these Barents Sea giants, the red king crab. On the boat, help pull the king crab cages from the depths of the sea. They are very impressive as each crab can weigh up to 10 kilograms and have a leg span of 1.8 meters. Back on land, you can see the chef prepare and serve the day’s catch at the nearby restaurant located by the water.
